Gennaro received his BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Knowledge Engineering and Machine Intelligence from University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. During his Bachelor, he spent a six-month internship at National Research Council, Italy, working on machine learning for real-world applications. Gennaro joined Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in April 2021 as a PhD student in the Data and Artificial Intelligence cluster under the supervision of Erik Quaeghebeur.

His research interests revolve around generative models, with a particular emphasis on tractable probabilistic ones.
